Owner & Instructor

Trevor earned bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Communication from the University of Idaho and a master’s degree in Educational Technology from Boise State University. He began ballroom dancing at age 11 and danced with Class Act Ballroom throughout high school. In 2007, Trevor and Chantal co-founded the University of Idaho Ballroom Dance Team, where Trevor also taught dance electives. They later directed Class Act Ballroom in Nampa before establishing Breakaway Ballroom Studio in 2015. Trevor loves helping young dancers grow in confidence, discipline, and teamwork—and spending time with Chantal and their family.

Owner & Instructor

Chantal earned a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Idaho. She discovered ballroom dance after marrying Trevor in 2006, and together they founded the University of Idaho Ballroom Dance Team in 2007. After graduation, they moved to Nampa to direct the Class Act Ballroom Company, which became Breakaway Ballroom Studio in 2015. Coaching Breakaway’s young dancers and watching them grow has been one of the great joys of Chantal’s life.

Instructor

Amber is a graduate of Brigham Young University and an alumna of the BYU Ballroom Dance Company. In 2010, she performed on a two-week tour in Nauvoo, Illinois, including a performance at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum. Amber discovered ballroom dance as a freshman at BYU and loves sharing that passion with Breakaway’s dancers. Originally from Denver, she also enjoys hiking and spending time with her family.
