At Breakaway Ballroom, we believe every dancer deserves an opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed. Whether your child is stepping onto the dance floor for the very first time or has years of experience, we have a team designed to help them reach their next level.

Our teams are organized by age and experience, allowing every dancer to receive instruction that is both challenging and encouraging. As students develop their skills and confidence, they have opportunities to progress into more advanced teams and training.

Preteen Team (Grades 4–6)

A fun introduction to ballroom dance and teamwork.

Our Preteen Team is the perfect place for younger dancers to begin their ballroom journey. Students build coordination, rhythm, confidence, and social skills while learning ballroom fundamentals in a positive, encouraging environment.

No previous dance experience is required—just a willingness to learn and have fun!

Perfect for:

• Students in grades 4–6

• Beginning and developing dancers

• Building confidence and a love for dance

Junior Team (Grades 7–9)

Growing confidence. Stronger technique. Bigger opportunities.

As dancers enter junior high, they begin refining their ballroom technique while continuing to build confidence and teamwork. This team introduces more challenging choreography, stronger partnering skills, and exciting performance opportunities.

Whether students are new to ballroom or have danced before, our coaches help every dancer continue progressing at their own pace.

• Students in grades 7–9

• Beginner through intermediate dancers

• Developing performance and partnering skills

Youth Team (Grades 10–12)

Challenge yourself. Grow your skills. Create lasting memories.

Our Youth Team offers a fun, energetic environment where dancers continue developing strong ballroom technique while enjoying performances, teamwork, and lasting friendships.

Students receive instruction that challenges them to improve while building confidence, discipline, leadership, and teamwork. Whether ballroom is a new adventure or something they've enjoyed for years, every dancer is encouraged to grow and reach their potential.

• Students in grades 10–12

• Beginner through advanced dancers

• Dancers looking for challenge, friendships, and growth

Advanced Team (By Placement)

Dedicated dancers. Higher expectations. Greater opportunities.

Our Advanced Team is designed for students who have demonstrated a strong commitment to ballroom dance and are ready to take their training to the next level.

These dancers invest additional time in practices, technique, and performance while preparing for higher-level competitions and advanced choreography. Team members are selected based on experience, commitment, work ethic, and readiness for more intensive training.

The Advanced Team isn't simply about dancing at a higher level, it's about developing leadership, discipline, excellence, and a commitment to continual improvement.
